Peanut 

Meet Peanut, a sweet little sheltie whose name is so very apropos.  Many of her foster mom’s friends think she looks like the foot stool in Beauty and the Beast when she runs.  Peanut is about that tall.  Her coat is beautiful and her face is very expressive.  Her large brown eyes will melt your heart. 

She has a sweet temperament and learns quickly.  She has adjusted well to the schedule in her foster home.  Although she was a bit timid during the first three weeks, her confidence level has grown, and she comes for head scratches and petting. Yesterday she decided to lay on her foster mom’s feet.  She follows her foster mom around the yard, even when she is off the leash. And she certainly knows the feeding schedule.  Her little bark reminds those around her that it’s time for food. 
Peanut gets along well with her foster brother and sister.  She is somewhat skittish around strangers.  Her favorite (and consistent) place to hide is in the corner behind the toilet.  Peanut is 6 years old, overweight, and is losing weight just from being fed the appropriate amount instead of being over fed. She does run in the yard, especially when it’s time to come in. She does not fight the leash and accepts being crated.  There are no signs of aggression, although she will let you know when she doesn’t like something. 

 

Star

Star is a beautiful a  sable and white,  over-sized sheltie about ten years old . She weighs about 30 lb .  She is friendly energetic and gets along well with other dogs . Star is not fond of cats .  She is an enjoyable companion and a nearly perfect sheltie but does suffer from some house-training challenges.  Star will require a fenced in yard.
